R.I.P. Nintendo Power

I posted this a few months back but it seems appropriate to repost today with the news of the cancellation of Nintendo Power. My 8bit heart breaks for one of my favorite childhood publications. I can still see those worn-edged magazines piling up with hints on how to beat Maniac Mansion, page after endless page of maps for the near-impossible Battletoads bike level, the Super Mario Bros. comic where Luigi and Princess Peach cross-dressed… now that I think about it, I may still have some lingering complexes thanks to Nintendo Power.
