I realized I didn’t really get a great photo of Wild Flag drummer Janet Weiss, this is probably the clearest one. At 46 years old she still has an incredible amount of energy — she never even seemed to get out of breath — and her precision and professionalism were an inspiration. BTW, did you know that she did not join Sleater-Kinney until their third album? I had no idea they started out with a different drummer.

Janet Weiss, perhaps my favorite SFSU alum. Dan the Automator comes close.
